Glendia Diaz is our Medical Assistant, having graduated from the Andromeda Transcultural Health program, through which she completed her training and required in-clinic hours for a year in the Mercy Health Clinic, located in Gaithersburg, MD. She started working at The Village Pediatric in april. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Glendia is from San Miguel, El Salvador, having immigrated to the United States in 2011. She is married to her husband Jairo and has a seven-year-old son, Christian, who she loves to have accompanying her when walking her husky dog called, Princess.
Martha works at our front desk. She serves as our receptionist, provides costumer services and confirms our patients’ insurance eligibility. Martha is a vibrant and cheerful woman ready to help everyone.
Born in Peru, Martha originally trained as an accountant, graduating from the University of San Martin de Porras. She worked as a certified public accountant in Peru from 1989 to 2000. After coming to the United States in 2000, Martha worked from 2001 to 2016 in hospitality services for the Marriott Corporation, gathering experience in costumer services.
Martha has two beautiful children, aged eight and eleven years old. She loves to volunteer and serves on her children’s school’s PTA. Martha speaks Spanish and English.
Florencia Rojas is our new Medical Assistant. She graduated from the Andromeda Transcultural Health program in November 2016. Florencia completed her required in-clinic hours in the Mercy Health Clinic, in Gaithersburg, MD and in Laurel Pines Pediatric, Laurel, MD. She started working there in December 2016 as Medical Assistant, biller and receptionist. We are so happy she joined The Village Pediatric in July. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Florencia is from Mendoza, Argentina. She immigrated to the United States in 2000. She loves to work with children.
